We began our collaboration lesson with a BrainPop video regarding Civil Rights. We discussed the issues and problems with not treating each other with respect/treating people the way we would want to be treated.
Following the video we read the book Martin's Big Words and discussed what Big Words we think he would share with us today.
Students at CE paired up with buddy classes (k-2 classes paired with 3-5 classes) and created Instagram posts as if they were Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. : A Selfie as Martin Luther King Jr.
